We Came As Romans haben auf Instagram bekanntgegeben, dass ihr Sänger Kyle Pavone am Samtag, den 25. August 2018, gestorben ist. Kyle wurde gerade einmal 28 Jahre.
Todesursache zum Ableben von Kyle Pavone bisher unklar
Über die Ursachen zu seinem Tod machte die amerikanische Post-Hardcore-Band keine Angaben. Der Frontmann ist nach diversen Medienberichten am Sonntag, den 19. August 2018, in ein Krankenhaus im US-Bundesstaat Michigan gebracht worden, wo er auch gestorben ist. Die Todesursache ist zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt unklar. Aufschluss soll ein toxikologischer Bericht liefern.
Update 01. September 2018: Mittlerweile wurde bekannt, dass Kyle an eine versehentliche Überdosis gestorben ist. So veröffentlichte seine Familie folgendes Statement:
„On Saturday, August 25, we lost our son, our brother, our best friend, and bandmate to an accidental overdose. The opposite of addiction is connection. If you are feeling disconnected or lost, there is help. Please take action, whether that is talking to your families or friends, meeting with a counselor, or joining a support group. If you are a friend or family member of someone who is struggling, do not be silent! If you are an artist in need of support through your struggle, we have created the The Kyle Pavone Foundation in Kyle’s honor, to help.
„We look forward to celebrating Kyle’s life again at a public event in early October at the Fillmore in Detroit. Please join us to continue to support Kyle Pavone Foundation.org. Thank you.“
Kyle Pavone stieg 2008, drei Jahre nach Gründung von We Came As Romans, als Sänger und Keyboarder ein und veröffentlichte mit der Band vier Alben. Cold Like War aus dem Jahr 2017 ist leider das letzte.
We Came As Romans waren erst im Frühling 2018 bei uns auf der Impericon Festival Tour unterwegs. Bislang gibt es keine Angaben darüber, ob die Band auch nach dem Tod von Kyle Pavone weiter macht.

Today music lost another great with the passing of Kyle Pavone of We Came as Romans. Kyle’s tragic loss came too early in his life and those of his bandmates. All are devastated by his passing. We will miss his smiles, his sincerity, his concern for others, and his impressive musical talent. In lieu of flowers, we will be providing information regarding charity donations this coming week.
