John Joseph, hat schon vor seiner Zeit als Sänger der New York Hardcore Legende Cro-Mags mit Bloodclot eine weitere Band am Start. Nachdem diese 2008 ihr Debütalbum Burn Babylon Burn veröffentliche hatte, wurde es längere Zeit wieder ruhig um die Band.
Im Februar dieses Jahrs gab Metal Blade Records bekannt, Bloodclot für ein neues Album unter Vertrag genommen haben. Dieses wird am 17. März 2017 unter den Titel „Up In Arms“ erscheinen. Nun hat die Band mit dem gleichnamigen Titelsong die erste Hörprobe im Form eines Videos bei Noisey veröffentlicht.
Neben John Joseph setzt sich die Band aus Todd Youth (Agnostic Front, Murphy’s Law, Warzone), Joey Castillo (Wasted Youth, Danzig) und Nick Oliveri (Dwarves) zusammen.

Up in Arms‘ is a call to arms for the people of America and across the globe who are sick of the lies, death and destruction of innocent people being caused by the military industrial complex who run governments and propagate unjust wars in order to fill the bank accounts of corrupt businessmen
