1Do you remember the first hardcore / punk show you went to? Is the club still open today?

The first one I ever went to was the Ramones in 1987 at the Ritz which turned into Webster Hall which was closed for renovations but will be reopening by the time this interview gets published.

2What is your all-time favorite club or location?

My favorite all time club was a little shit hole in Jackson Heights Queens called Castle heights. Its where Sworn Enemy got their start and made many friends there within this scene.

3Do you remember the first hardcore / punk record you got?

I think the first hardcore/punk record I ever got was the Accused – Return of Martha Splatterhead. I was sold once I seen the album cover.

4In your opinion what is the perfect hardcore show?

Perfect hardcore show be Cro-Mags, Madball, Sick Of It All, Biohazard and Sworn Enemy.

5What is your all-time favorite show you’ve played?

Probably gonna say playing the Roseland in NYC with Slipknot, Fear Factory and Chimaira. That was one hell of a sick show.

6Is there a show you missed in the past that still makes you angry that you could not be there?

Yes, I missed the Big 4 at Yankee Stadium and I had a ticket for it which makes it even worse.

7What band would you like to see again?

Even though it’s not possible I would like to see Pantera again.

8Is there a person who has influenced you especially in hardcore / punk?

John Joseph probably more than any other singer in the scene has influenced me the most.

9What are your top 3 hardcore-punk front men (women)?

Freddy Madball, Lou from Sick Of It All and and Jamey from Hatebreed in my opinion are the best at what they do.

10What is in your opinion the most underrated hardcore-punk band?

If I had to pick a band I would say Madball. In my opinion they should be huge with the sound that they have. All great players and the best front man in the game.

11Are there some newer bands you could mention?

I would recommend checking out Dissent, Purgatory and Barbarians all awesome up and coming bands.

Gamechanger wird am 5. April über M-Theory Audio erscheinen.
