Nathan Gray wird uns auch in diesem Jahr mit einem neuen Soloalbum beglücken. Der Boysetsfire-Frontmann kündigte über die sozialen Medien sein neues Werk Rebel Songs an.
Schon in diesem Monat könnte er sich hierfür ins Studio begeben, um mit den Aufnahmen zu starten. Doch wie an fast allen Künstlern ging auch bei Nathan Gray die Pandemie in finanzieller Hinsicht nicht spurlos vorbei. Hier sein Statement zum neuen Album und auch ein kleiner Aufruf ihn mit Merchkauf zu unterstützen, um die Aufnahmen zum Album finanzieren zu können:
I am set to enter the studio to begin recording Rebel Songs this month. Due to the financial impact the pandemic has had on the music industry as a whole, budgets for the studio look a little different this time around, and although we are close to goal, I could really use a little help to make this album happen.

The Three Arrows have long stood as a symbol of defiance and resistance – their stark lines meant to stamp out a symbol of hate and represent the strength of the working class in physical, economic, and political pillars.
A few years ago, I modified that symbol to represent those same ideals, wrapped in hope, love, and empathy. I replaced the arrows with flowers or “White Roses” inspired by and in memory of brilliant political activists like Sophie and Hans Scholl who gave their lives to oppose tyranny and oppression.

Seine für März angekündigte Solo Tour wurde auf Dezember verschoben. Die neuen Termine findet ihr nachfolgend. Nathan Gray veröffentlichte erst Anfang letzten Jahres sein zweites Solo-Album Working Title, zu dem wir ihn auch hier bei uns im ausführlichen Interview hatten. Der Nachfolger von Feral Hymns (2018) erschien über End Hits Records.
