Obey The Brave haben über die soialen Medien ihre Auflösung bekanntgegeben. Es sind keine weiteren Shows oder eine Abschiedstour geplant.
Die Band, die zuletzt nur noch als Trio (Alex, Stevie, Terry) unterwegs war, gründete sich 2011 und veröffentlichte insgesamt vier Studioalben.
Die Kanadier nannten private Gründe nicht weiter als Band fortzufahren. Hier das offizielle Statement von Obey The Brave zu ihrem Entschluss:
After 8 years, 4 albums and countless tours across 5 continents, we’ve decided to hang up our skates. As much as we love this band, our focus and priorities have shifted. Now that we’re all busy chasing new endeavours and experiences, it feels like the right time to move on.
For obvious reasons, there will be no final shows, just fond memories that we’ll cherish for a lifetime. We’ve had the honour of releasing music on Epitaph, shared the stage with our favourite bands and met some incredible people along the way. What a f*cking ride! We’re forever grateful for the support you’ve given us over the years.
