Vielen dürfte der Name Maintain noch mehr als ein Begriff sein. Andere denken sich vermutlich „Ah, Maintain, hatten die sich nicht aufgelöst? Ach nee, oder, nee?! Ich weiß es nicht mehr, aber war geil!“ Und ja, genau um diese Schmetterkapelle geht es. Den Körper aus dem Froster geholt, aufgetaut, drei Backpfeifen und neues Leben eingehaucht, kommt Maintain mit neuem Elan, neuem Stuff und zum Teil neuer Besetzung.

Kurzer Abriss der Bandbiografie:
Maintain is a German Metalcore band from Lower Saxony, formed in 1998.
They have released one Split CD and six studio albums.
Through the years the band played countless shows in Germany, the
Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium and Sweden. They
supported various bands including As I Lay Dying, Killswitch Engage,
Korn, Caliban, Neaera and many others on their European tours.
Maintain was a supporting act for the Taste of Chaos Tour, Persistence Tour
and played many headlining shows as well as various festivals like
the Reload Festival, Pressure Festival and many more. Maintain contributed a song to both the soundtrack of the German movie „Lauf der Dinge“ as well as to the soundtrack of the Canadian TV series „Todd and the Book of Pure Evil“.
Their latest release „The Path“, which was published by Swell Creek Records
in 2013, was followed by changes in the bands line-up, so they played
their last show in 2015 and went on a hiatus. In 2020/2021, under a new line-up,
the band is working on new music and will be playing shows in 2022.

Am 29.04.2022 (ursprünglich18. Dezember 2021) findet ihre erste Show seit 2015 statt. Im Mittendrin in Walsrode wird Maintain zusammen mit Out Of Step und Mudhead zum Lachen, Tanzen und Genießen bitten. Die Show war innerhalb weniger Stunden ausverkauft und dementsprechend wird die Stimmung dort wohl auch werden. Alles Gute zum Neustart und bald gibt es hier dann auch mehr zum Metalcore-Dampfhammer, sobald für 2022 neues ansteht.
