World Of Pain haben über ihre sozialen Kanäle bekanntgegeben, dass sie sich nach zehn Jahren auflösen und 2019 das letzte mal als Band zu sehen sein werden. Die 2009 gegründete Hardcore-Beatdown-Combo aus San Diego, Kalifornien, planen zum Abschluss noch eine Tour in den USA und auch Europa, bei der World Of Pain mit Sicherheit auch die ein oder andere Show im deutschsprachigen Raum spielen werden.
Die Band veröffentlichte vergangenes Jahr mit No Utopia ihr bislang letztes Release, das ihr hier bei uns im Review findet. Hier unser Interview mit World Of Pain aus dem Jahr 2016.
Das Statement der Band zur Auflösung:
Over the past 10 years we’ve had the pleasure of playing so many great shows, along so many great bands, seeing old friends, making new ones, traveling and performing places we had never even dreamt of playing, both in the US and abroad. A labor of love writing music, handing out demos, making flyers and ultimately releasing multiple records. This band started as a group of youngsters who wanted to bring a sound back to the hardcore scene that we felt was slowly being forgotten… a soundtrack of destruction, an outlet of aggression and a discussion of self-reflection and opposing opinion. As the years have gone on, it’s apparent that the amount of time we’ve been able to dedicate to all of you has become less and less, as band members grow older, get married, have children, etc. Thus, instead of simply fading out of existence, we wanted to make it official and ends things properly. 2019 will mark the final year of World Of Pain. We are currently booking our final appearances around the US and will be playing one final tour in Europe later in the year. From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. Without all of you, none of this would have ever been possible. Time flies… a decade of pain, a lifetime of memories. #ForeverInPain
