1Motorhead – Overkill
The perfect doses of everything I want in an album. Speed, rockin, grooves and a touch of punk served with tons of attitude delivered by rough vocals that carry melody. My desert island album.
2Zeke – kicked in the teeth
This band combines motorheads attitude, with Ramones song writing and AC/DCs rock sleaze played at hardcore punk speeds. This is the band ATG all came together over when we started as our biggest influence. Bordering the line of punk, metal and rock in all the right ways.
3Ramones – Rocket To Russia
Ramones don’t have a bad song to me. The number one band I wish I got to see. It was very hard for me to pick an album from them because the first 4 are masterpieces.
4AC/DC – Powerage
I can play this album at any time. It might sound simple to some, but writing and perfecting this good of rock and roll can’t ever happen again. The greatest rock and roll album ever made to me.
5Turbonegro – Scandinavian leather
Great riffs and melodies with amazing production and a since of humor added in. It’s hard to pull off humor and still be taken seriously as a band as musicians and Turbo did it perfectly. I was the president of the “motor city madmen”” Turbojugend chapter for close to a decade, and this is the album I’d show anyone that wanted to get into them.
6Thin Lizzy – Jail Break
An album you could drink, fight, or bang too. It’s romantic, groovy, rocky and heavy at times. Thin lizzy have a ton of incredible albums, but there’s not a dull second of this album.
7Dead Kennedys – Plastic Surgery Disasters
My favorite hardcore album ever made. I love all DK albums, but this one blends the perfect mixture of weird, punk, and creepy. Jellos lyrics are incredible and delivered top knotch, while the band is playing some of the most talented punk ever.
8Black Sabbath – Black Sabbath
When I was 6 years old my uncle blasted this album for me on loud speakers as we played Nintendo. I was entranced by the cover and it was the first album that both scared me, but couldn’t stop wanting to hear. N.I.B. Is my favorite sabbath song, and that’s saying a lot. I love ALL the Ozzy sabbath albums too.
9Nofx – So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes
I got this album for Christmas when I was 12, along with 11 other punk CDs. It blew my mind someone could play so fast on the drums with a single pedal. Fat mikes voice has always been annoying to me, but they had some incredible songs for a 12 year old kid getting into punk, skateboarding and jackass. If I heard this now, Itd be a hard pass, but timing is everything with music.
10Nashville Pussy – High As Hell
This album blends rose tattoo with southern rock, humor and a touch more punk. Blaine’s voice is hard as hell, and the lyrics are funny while being tough. One of the best live bands and this album captures them at their prime.
